Problem with the Taskbar

Hi everbody!

I've got a odd trouble with my taskbar when I try to apply WinBlind theme, specifically, after application, all the elements are changing properly except the taskbar; what is happening it's that the WinBlinds resets the taskbar's skin to the Win Classic and doesn't seem to change it anyway on the theme's one... I tried to play with preferences of the WinBlinds, it just doesn't work.

P.S. By the way, how can I manage to stick the DesktopX widgets to the desktop so that they don't be minimized after "show desktop" action ?

Which version of WB? and, free or paid?
I don't believe the free version skins the taskbar.

for the 'show desktop' issue - check out: Link

As a matter of fact, firstly everything was ok, but then I uninstalled WB because it seemed to me that it have caused some problems, but then I realized that it wasn't because of WB and installed it again and then this trouble occured.

4.4. Enhanced

I wasn't asked about any registration during the instalation, the strange thing is that after the 1st instalation everything was ok, but then after I uninstalled WB and reinstalled it again things got troubled.

when you purchased it, did they send an email confirmation & did it include a link to download Stardock Central? Normally, you run SDC, update registration through it and use it to download and install programs and updates.

Okay, lemme understand this clearly: When you install a new skin, everything is skinned except for the taskbar, right? And this only just happened after a new update, right? And you made sure that in your WBConfig-Settings-UserOverrides-Xp Overrides no checkboxes with checks in "always use the taksbar defined in..." or "only use shell style defined in...", right? If you answer yes to all these questions, and the taskbar is the only thing affected by this, try this: unlock the taskbar and lock it back. A restart-reboot might also help...

Just noticed that windows - "my documents" and other system windows (My Computer) also doesn't change appearence... All other application are ok. Tried to lock/unlock/renoot - nothing All the checkboxes are unchecked.

did you use the free prior to the paid? if so,
did you fully unistall the free and reboots before the installing the paid?

i asked this, cuz when i click your name it shows you as a visitor not a customer & not skinning the taskbar sounds like the shareware version. I don't believe WB itself asks for the serial, but registration through SDC allows you to download the full version unlocked and any applicable updates.

you have 4.4, i'm running 4.6 enhanced.

I check everything there so I skin everything except wallpaper.

Good call, bichur. Been a while since I had to register manually. You are right again!

Check out JJ's new skin. It's quite fast and good for a 4.6 build I think.

... I'm really-really sorry guys, but it appears that I installed not a full version, but shareware sorry for bothering you, I just downloaded and thought that it's kind of freeware, but now I see what do you mean 'paid'; there are not so much chanses in Ukraine to know stuff like this.
