Hopefully this time it won't be thrown out of court because the poor guy is a frail old man (who killed 3000 people, then proceeded with an assault on the working class in order to eliminate all the gains won by Allende). Happy 90th birthday, asshole!

Now, I'll forgive you all right here who keep confusing socialism with communism. You need to read more. They aren't the same thing.



Allende was a Marxist whose 1970 election campaign received much funding from foreign communists. Throughout his presidency he was a champion of the idea of a dictatorship of the parasite class. Regardless, to rest your laurels on the idea that socialism is not communism is to display a dangerously ignorant view of the nature of liberalism in general and leftist ideologies in specific. After all, modern "conservatives" were once liberals too, in an ideological sense. Liberalism is a never ending quest to move further to the left in response as a cure for the problems their own ideologies bring (for example...the reason why the welfare state isn't eliminating poverty is because we aren't giving the poor enough money).

Wrong. He was pretty lousy as president, he receieved a slim plurality of the votes and was elected by the Chilean Congress in a runoff, and was not murdered by the United States in cold blood. Try reading an objective source.

This was truly funny!  Yea I really heard about it today.  But while Al did, Augusto may not.  He is not in the best of health.
