New Metaverse Ranks Implemented - Thanks Stardock!

Good to see something different now. Good work stardock. Now I can aim for more ranks.

Interesting, it seems that the ranks are being given out progressively.

Mauler28 just got his Vice Admiral too.

And my scores were obviously just recalced as it went up by about 2000pts.

Register my thanks, also. Is it given for being above a certain score, or for playing a certain number of games?

I suspect we've not seen the end of the promotions, Wombat.

Solitair has more games and points than Mauler but he's still a Commodore.

Weird. Seems that the promotions have ended.

No clear patterns have emerged on the criteria for Rear and Vice Admiral.

I have always wanted to be an admiral of vice. LOL. Thanks Stardock for the new wrinkle.

I seem to be the first Rear Admiral on the second page.... happened when I submitted. I wonder if a resubmit is needed to trigger the promotion

All vice admirals have made over 100k points *and* have played at least 48 games (I am the lowest game count at 48). Some over 100k points but under 48 games are not vice.

arobertson, you might scan for Rear Admirals and see what is common in the score . . . or we can wait and someone might tell us or figure it out. LOL.

I think currently I am the lowest scored admiral of any sort - and the only one off the top 25.

You have a lot of games submitted and deserve a Drengin virtual hug for that so maybe that is part of the promotion. But, there are probably other factors we haven't considered. Keep submitting games Alex and you will make top 25 soon.

It's a matter of time - I'm a teacher and term has begun now - so, for a while, it's likely to be the odd game now and again! I'll be quite happy if I can stay in the top 50, let alone get into the top 25....

Oh - and there's another rear admiral in the second page now and one in the third. I suspect it may only get updated when people submit games (that's when mine happened!), so it'll probably be worth waiting a while before trying to work out the formula. Almost all of the promoted people have submitted games in the past couple of days.

1st guess is

Rear Admiral - 30 games and 50k points and a recalc triggered - either by those nice folk at stardock or submission.
Vice Admiral - 40 games and 100k points + recalc

I'm wondering if there may also be factors in for game difficulty, personal status (citizen, veteran etc) - and there may be alternatives. Time will tell, I guess!

My guess is the same as Alex. Looks like you need to submit a game before you get promoted.

Another thing to note is that the promotions seem to be based on the player profile score rather than the Metaverse listing score.

Well, I hope SD has implemented Admiral and looking at the criteria progression, it should be 50 games and 200,000 pts.

I would be due for that with my next game.
