Beta 4 Comment: Should a cargo hull ship be worth 5 Logistics points?

Ships with a cargo hull are set to be worth 5 Logistics points. This makes it REALLY hard to make fleets with them in the early game. Was this intentional, or will this be changed later? Since cargo hull ships are so weak (and should have less crew than other ship types), I would think that they should have a much lower Logistics value.

Well, I guess (but I haven't yet arched the corresponding tech) that transports are based on a cargo hull design. So a logistic value of 5 is perharps needed to ensure a correct balance. And don't forget that cargo hull allowsyou to put very different modules.

Cargo hulls come with some advantages though: less cost and more space. You can pump out some very useful designs early in the game for a proportionally acceptable cost (think reasonably fast AWACS design with a sensor range of 10). It's a roomy hull to posess so early in the game. I think the logistics value is mostly justified. Lowering the logistics value by 1 might be a good compromise.
