I've seen a few threads started here at the Forums, that are created by a disgruntled skinner. These skinners are usually new, and have little if any experience at skinning. When these persons get their skin uploaded and then return to the gallery later to see how many have downloaded/commented/ranked the skin, they are disappointed that a low ranking has been given. Those of you who read this and can relate, check out the link below, read it. Rememeber that anytime you submit yourself, your work, to the public there is bound to be criticism. Take that as it is and use it to further your own ability.
And those of you who read this and can relate to the poor soul you just ranked as a "1", try giving a detailed comment as to why you just ranked said skin as you did. Was it the color you disliked? The name of the skin? Try NOT to rank a skin unless you've tried it out for a while, and an hour might not seem enough. Use the skin with your favorites apps. And, of course, FRIENDLY advice is the best advice, so try and be friendly with any comments given.
