Better to wait play on a build that doesn't crash out constantly, even if it does mean I have to keep my curiosity in check another week. Good luck Stardock, sounds like its going to be another long week for you.

Stardocks Beta prep sounds like other companies prepping for gold.

I'm sure it will be good, and well worth the wait... I was hoping Galciv would curb my retail urges over the weekend and keep me from buying another good book to read. *sigh* The following weekend it is then.

back in my day, we were lucky to even get a release date that didn't include 'TBA, 1st Q this, 2nd Q that, etc, maybe in the next year or so'. Now, it's news-worthy if a beta phase gets pushed back... a week! ROFL

Note: Carielf... this is where you learn about the intense grind and 90-hour work weeks and/or the ridiculous amount of uncompensated overtime you'll be putting in that most people don't know about in the game industry. And all because someone made an unrealistic timetable. Hang in there.. maybe you'll be able to sleep more than 3 hours at a time next week *wink*

For how long do you think CariElf is a Stardock employee? And unless I am mistaken, I think remember reading some posts on the various Stardock forums that work hours at Stardock are more reasonnable than in other game companies.

I wish we were working normal hours, but no, last week was one of the craziest crunch-times I've ever been through...and we're STILL not happy with Beta4  But hopefully higher standards on our end will meen a more exciting play-through when Beta4 finally rolls in

I want the custom ships to be more balanced and can combat The AI better than ill be happy besides diplomacy (im not Truly warsitc i prefer buliding huge economies and therefore can probley get pwned by AI and well bribe em and they won't touch me or get support from a freind...) besides that i don't care too much (Fix any REALLLY IRRATING ISSUES ASWELL)

uhhh IM REALLY anal on the custom ships part but anyways it will be done and i will be satisfiyed with most actions but i would actually have what i call the "2-Galciv2-Engines-plan":There shall be 2 engine put in each tech that as each one devolps they will share the princaple of decreasing in natural size(Without minaturazation which should decrease all modules "natural size") however one side will be:Smaller and cheaper But just as effective as last engine, The other will be smaller but will be more expensive But more powerfull. that is my plan i hope it is utilzed corectly (what im saying is make 2 varaints of propulsion tech that involves samo engine just different desgins) won't be much harder because they share 2 common princaples:if minaturazation will decrease module size(should) and they naturally they get less bulky-This is what i think should be done to satisfy The Lowan Federation(small Jet-fighter ships) and the ugleb nomads(slow warship style) Ugleb is a nomad in the Lowan Capital until further notice and is considered a enemy on Lowan Federation Grounds but is a Freind out of borders...

This release is a bit rougher on them, from what they've told us. This is the build/baseline that is going to be reviewed for their ESRB rating. So I suppose its a "silver" release.
