Dual boot activation issue

I just purchased 2 ObjectDesktop packages (along with several other goodies), one for myself and one for my wife. My installation resides on a dual-boot DAW machine with a common programs partition (which, of course, is where I've loaded the ObjectDesktop), and every time I switched boot partitions, it asked me for authorization. So last night I got the "Maximum Authorizations" message, and now the auth message keeps coming up, and it also delays my boot sequence by 30 seconds or more.

Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

Your problem is having 2 different windows installations sharing the same directories for OD.  This is not something you can do as per installation information is stored in the OD directories.

If you e-mail [email protected] or [email protected], they should be able to reset your activation counts, but you will need to move OD on one of the OS installs to a different directory.

I've reset it, you should be set if you split the dirs.

Wow, thanks for the swift replies, on a Sunday no less! I figured that this was a problem (having the 2 installs in the same directory) but I still didn't have the auths left.

Thanks. I'm hoping I can just remove all the registry entries from the first install and reinstall elsewhere, rather than doing an uninstall which will trash all the changes I've made.

Wish me luck and thanks for your help.

Well, everything went fine and I also modified the install.log files for if I ever uninstall anything. I modified all the registry entries to point to a different partition on my non-DAW boot system then copied everything over and it looks like everything is 100%.

Thanks for your help.
