I haven't done this is quite a while now, but in the early alpha testing I did. But it was with modified tech files. Perhaps it is time to test this again, especially with all of the changes to the tech tree.

I don't know if that particular method works anymore, now that the morality techs are implimented, but there should be at least two techs that win the game even if others are still on the tree now.

Just won with a beyond human win. If you are an evil civ you would go galatic domination, if you are good you would go galatic peace. Beyond Human is the one for neutral races.

Javascout : how long did your victory take ? I tried to betatest this victory, but I won by influence before I could research beyond human. At the end of the game, I had a reasonably successful empire, and I had 331 month left for this tech. Is this normal ? I may have not developped my empire enough but I thought I had developped all the tech improving building.

I started out planning for a research win so I choose technologists and put all points into research. Then I got a lucky break and ended up with 50% of the planets on colonization. After that 50% of budget in research after the coloization had finished. The only techs that ended up with a hugh number of months was Galatic Creation and Beyond Human which I cut down by finding as many 25% research anomolies as I could.
