Nice to see some fleet combat screens... its hard to tell, but are only 2 ships shown at one time?

It's just that those examples only had a couple of ships in them.

I love the one labelled "Laser Fire". Not so much for the lasers, but I like the list below that shows which ships are matched with which enemy for the current combat round. Very nice! Has an easy to understand display of who attacked who, as well as what type or weapons and defenses both sides have. I think I'm going to really enjoy fleet combats in Beta 4.

I'm looking at the battle screens again and grinning to myself. I'm guessing as to how the camera control will work. There's a button on the control bar which I guess switches view between several predefined angles..gah I wanna play with it! Still two weeks to wait!

Ugleb, yea one ofthe camera options is free-form so you can pause the battle, change your view, and continue.

Loved the Earth tile set. Adds to the whole experience.

Will the tiles for this be randomised or set? ie research bonus for North America and a cultural bonus in the likes of China? Could cause a little bit of controversy.

No, the tiles aren't set for earth.

Yeah adding true realism for the Earth tiles would be hard, there's no way to give Britain all the bonuses it so obviously would have!
