Rundll errors

Hello peeps
Windowblinds 5 does look quite scrumptious- I love the transparency effects... but I keep getting run as dll crashes every time I try to run a game (eg warhammer dawn of war, counter-strike etc). Playing DVDs and music and surfing the web seems fine though. I've also experienced quite a few seemingly random explorer crashes and I get some strange error messages to do with logonui during the start up process ( I think this is related to the run as dll crashes). Disabling WB does not help- i still get the crashes.
Am running WB5 beta on XP SP1, athlon 3500, geforce 6800 GT.
any help/suggestions appreciated.
