My day in the Word

Well I discovered today that Western Civ actually does have its uses. It started me thinking today about how people were saved before Christ, then back before Abraham. I discussed it with one of my friends, and he directed me to some passages. I found the following verses helpful:
"Before the faith came, we were held prisoners by the law, locked up until faith should be revealed. So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified in faith. Now that faith has come, we are no longer under the supervision of the law." -Galatians 3:23-25
"It is not through law that Abraham and his offspring received the promise that he would be heir of the world, but through the righteousness that comes by faith." -Romans 4:13
Here are the two verses which confuse me:
"For before the law was given, sin was in the world. But sin is not taken into account where there is no law. Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam, who was a pattern of the one to come." -Romans 5:13-14
So my question remains, what were the requirements of salvation before the Law? Noah was "righteous" before Abraham. I just don't know exactly what that meant. It's something to ponder. Let me know if you have some insight for me.
Evangelism training was great tonight. Tad really knows how to get through to us. One verse he presented us with that I really connected with was:
"We proclaim Him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ. To this end, I labor with all His energy, which so powerfully works in me." -Colossians 1:28-29
I've really learned a lot about sharing my faith lately. I know I need the help. As Tad pointed out, in Jesus's first command to His disciples, He told them to follow Him, and He would make them fishers of men. Being a disciple of Christ means sharing the Light with others. Sometimes for me that takes a back-burner to Bible study and personal growth.
What a day!
