I wondered where he'd got to.

Louis Farrakhan has crawled out of the woodwork to make comments about the aftermath of hurricane katrina.

First, we have this little pearl of wisdom:

"New Orleans is the first of the cities going to tumble down... unless America changes its course. It is the wickedness of the people of America and the government of America that is bringing the wrath of God down." -- Louis Farrakhan explains what happened in New Orleans was divine punishment for America.

Then, we have this gem of a quote:

"FEMA is too white to represent us and so is the Red Cross, so we're going to demand our place at the table." -- Louis Farrakhan

*the following is a rant*

First of sall, if a white person has said that there would be much rage and fury, shouts and complaints of racism and prejudice.

What, exactly, does he want?  What does he want to happen?  Does he want qualified white people to be passed over for positions at FEMA and the Red Cross so that a less qualified black person can have a job there?  Has the recent clusterfuck by underqualified people in positions of authority not shown him ANYTHING?????  Does he want those organizations to create jobs specifially for black people?

If he wants "his people" to be represented, then he should encourage "his people" to apply for the jobs that are available, not 'demand' that jobs be created so that they can 'represent'.

*rant ends.  Thank you for listening.*

I lost all respect for him after he said stuff like:

"The Jews don't like Farrakhan, so they call me Hitler. Well, that's a good name. Hitler was a very great man"

Then he went on to call Jews "bloodsuckers".

He's an eejit, and a dangerous eejit because people actually listen to him.

He wants a place at the table?  Does he think this is a freaking banquet or something?  He has gone beyond stupid to stark raving lunatic!

Does he think this is a freaking banquet or something?

That was exactly my reaction when I first read that quote.  He seems to think that 'his people' should be given preference simply because of the color of their skin.

This aint no feast, this aint no joke.  FEMA is a serious business, and the people who work for that organization should be qualified, not awarded positions simply because of their ethnicity.  He can demand all he damn well wants to....doesn't mean that he's going to get anywhere.

Notice how he (and select eegits) spout hate, discrimination and filth every chance they get, but eveyone else is out to get them?

Ever notice how they demand to have the "black man represent" but whenever a black community is oppressed and suffering in poverty....the leadership is full of black democrats?

Ever notice how they need extra everything to make up for history but when they want to make a point....everyone else who "owes" them is "too white"?

Fill the airwaves with ads proclaiming..."Send a black kid to college", but scream RACISM if someone wants a NAAWP to send a poor white kid to school.

Yeah, it's okay for us to be called 'crackers' and for us to be told that we're not welcome in places, denied membership in others and all around treated like crap....but god forbid we do that to them, because then it's blatant racism.

Racisim is a two way street, and it's unacceptable in ANY form.

Hmmm, could Farrakhan and Pat Robertson be the same person? Has anyone ever seen them together? ;~D

He can have a place at the table, alright...we're only serving PORK though, so I guess he'll have to sit there and starve, lol.

Eeeewwww!  That gets you a cookie for a great pun (sorry Tex, some are better than others) and a good counter point!
