LOL... tastes sure vary! It's always interesting to see who likes what.

VC Andrews is an author I would put in my top 10 list for BAD books. I still feel poisoned from reading them in junior high school. It was like some sick rite of passage for teenage girls at my school.

And yet strangely compelling-- like a car accident. Of course, no one has to agree with my opinion.

I like your list, but would drop John Jakes for James Mitchner, and add Arthur C. Clark, Isaac Asimov, Frank Herbert, Robert Heinlein while dropping 4, 6, 7 and 8.

I like your list, but would drop John Jakes for James Mitchner, and add Arthur C. Clark, Isaac Asimov, Frank Herbert, Robert Heinlein while dropping 4, 6, 7 and 8.


I would have to add Isaac Asimov as # 10 for me. good stuff! Or put in Dr. Seuss, but I have kids, so what they like, I either like or learn to like it LOL.

By 'authors', I'm assuming you mean novelists, hence you'll find no Shakespeare (plays / sonnets), Alan Moore (graphic novels) or Paul Davies (non-fiction) here, for example. Anyway, here's today's list. Tomorrow's would doubtless be very different ...
