GalCiv beta 1Z roll call

There are still some issues with Drengin.net and its ability to check the date/time. Apparently it has to do with different countries having different date/time format issues (so I'm told).

What we need to know is how many of you have successfully gotten beta 1Z so far.

I finally managed to download it with Finnish time settings in XP. To get it work I had to do following:
1. Get the latest DGM test build from threat " DGM Updated - 0.66.083"
2. Cleaned up "C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temp\drengin"
3. Started DGM.
4. Started to update Galciv
==> got error about "coreship.shi_"
5. Again cleaned up "C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temp\drengin"
6. Started DGM.
7. Started to update Galciv
==> Went now OK.

I now have a copy of Beta 1z thanks to Pat Ford (T-Man) and DGM version 0.66.86. A link to this new version of DGM can be found in the thread "DGM Updated - 0.66.083".

Cheers,
Jack

I got 1Z installed by downloading 0.66.86 of DGM. I was get lockups of galciv when I clicked on the starhawk so I did and uninstall/reinstall. I am going to check it out now to see if that fixed the lock up

After all the work Pat put in to the download resuming, I've also gotten 1z installed (after a few sds004 errors which I can live with)

No luck here as of yet, I've tried the new build and clearing of the temp directory trick to no avail... For now I'll have to settle for drooling over the list of improvements :)

Got GC again, my good old permission error is back, but I ignore the error box GC is there.

I think the date standard is diferent between the US and Canada. MMDDYYYY vs DDMMYYYY I can never remember.

Is there not a way the install program can check the local date policy on your computer ?
