Hostages in the Superdome

What is happening is that there are some people who think they can take over they city of New Orleans.

They think that keeping the rescuers from coming in, that they have control over the city.

I know this sounds crazy, but these people are crazy.

What you are about to read is something that was heard over a police scanner. Whether it actually happens this way or not is still a question on everyone’s mind.

This is the deal! The government is about to enforce a no fly zone over New Orleans. This will keep the news helicopters out.

Then the government is going to do what they have to do to get those people out of the Superdome.

In other words, the Armed Forces will be forced to take action against those resisting. The Armed Forces will shoot to kill. This is the reason the no fly zone will be enforced.

Civil unrest never sits well with any political official.

Taking up arms against the military of the United States is no small matter. Mayor Ray Nagin used the words "Martial Law" in a declaration last tuesday. There are no sections of the Louisiana Constitution that allow for true Martial Law, but the mayor left no room for doubt. What we understand as "Civil Rights" in the New Orleans area ceased the minute people in the area chose lawlessness over rights.

The legality of that declaration and what happens as a result will be debated for about as long as Hurricane Katrina itself is discussed.
