I'm disgusted and ashamed this morning.

Disgusted with what's going on in Louisiand and Mississippi and Alabama.  The looting, the rioting, the shootings, the arsons....disgusting behaviour.

Makes me ashamed to be of the same genus as those mofo's.  Ashamed to be human.

I'm also disgusted and ashamed of myself.

In the past three days I have used some words on a regular basis that I don't like much.  Words that I wouldn't want my children to hear me using.  Words that I haven't used in a long, long time.

"Motherfucking niggers" is what I've been saying.  Every time I've watched the news, every time I've seen looting and rioting.

"Motherfucking niggers".  I'm not proud of it.

I remember when a tornado swept through here and devestated my little town in '79. If you had been watching on TV it would have been motherfucking Mexicans and motherfucking whiteys. The looting went on then here too by these two groups 'cause that's what there's the most of here. That's probably why you see so many blacks looting there cuz that's the most of what is there.

In every calamity there's those that take advantage, like buzzards in the wild or minute bacteria and viruses in an HIV racked body. Sad but true.

In some people's minds, anything a black does is somehow excusable, understandable, forgivable, tolerable. ANYTHING.

Yet let a white person get really angry and fed up to the point where some strong language is used...and its something to be ashamed of?

I think not

That's the kind of double standard that pisses me off almost as much as my calling people the 'n' word.  Just because you have black skin doesn't excuse your actions.  If anything you ought to be more ashamed of yourself because you've been given more opportunities than some white folks. 

So yeah, I'm still a little ashamed of what i;ve been saying because it's a not a socially acceptable phrase.  but you know what?  if it acts like a one and it talks like one, I'm going to call it as I think it is.  And the people who have been looting and shooting and ripping off their fellow man down south are just that - niggers.

That's probably why you see so many blacks looting there cuz that's the most of what is there.

I understand that, Shovel, but....their actions aren't those of a black person.

Yes, there is a lot of reason to be disgusted and ashamed about what is going on in the disaster area... There are are also many examples of reasons to be proud of our fellow Americans.

There is a lot that isn't working, but look at all the people who aren't shooting, looting and whining... The vast majority are not. Something to think about.
