Stir crazy

I'm officially stir crazy.

Staying home all day every day, having to rely on someone else to take me places...it's driving me nuts. 

Yes, I have my knitting, and yes, I have my books, but.....they're poor substitutes for human contact. 

I went and played secretary/gofer for my husband this past weekend and yesterday evening, and I forgot just how much i enjoyed being involved in the judicial process (even if it is in a miniscule kind of way).  I really had a good time heloing him with some stuff he had going on...so much so that I'm emailing the Commander this morning and asking if I can come help on a regular basis.  They're short manned and everyone's stretched pretty thin....and I know that I can help ease their workload a bit. 

If he says no, that he can't have me come help regularly, then I'm going to go back to legal.  One of the cases I was helping with is coming to the military equivalent of a Grand Jury hearing next week, so I KNOW the attorney I was working for will have stuff for me to do (we've stayed in touch since I left to have surgery and he's always asking me when I'm coming back).

I HAVE to get out of this house, y'all.  Even an afternoon a week will make a difference....
