i don't think so...i think personal computing section or the internet section is fine for msn messenger.

I find using the skin from the current WindowBlinds that I am using is fine for me.

If they make it skinnable, I'd love to see the best skins here.

A skins section for MSN Messenger 8 will be essential.

btw, Excalpius, you only need to click 'submit' once.

I guess Excalpius would love to see the best skins here.

I personally am satisfied with letting the current skin I'm using skin messenger.

I guess I don't have an opinion as I do not use MSN Messenger. I use Trillian. I would love to see some Trillian skins or a Trillian section though.

why can't there be skin for all the messengers like msn, yahoo, AIM, google, etc...

This never was a leaked feature list. It started at the Mess.be forums as a Beta tester decided to write up a list of what "should" be in MSN Messenger 8.
It is likely that not many of these features will be implemented, yet a christmas release for MSN Messenger 8 is rumoured.

Besides the more features they add, the more bloated it becomes. I stopped using MSN Messenger since version 6.

If MSN 8 is skinnable then sure Win Cust should have a section for it. Maybe combine it with WMP skins as a Microsoft stuff section. Would be great to be able to skin the conversation windows to match a WindowBlind skin.

bet it will have bigger add banners.

Real-time Emotions

I was wondering about that too.

kinda sounds SCI-FI scary. Will, it cry and scream when you log out?
what if it gets mad?

Nothing earthshaking. As long as Trillian and GAIM still support MSN Messenger I won't switch Especially not since with either of them I get MSN, AIM, Y!, ICQ, IRC, Jabber (including Google Talk) and a few less used IM protocols in one client.

Now, if MSN would support all these... I might get tempted. What happened to "Unified Messaging" anyway? Got shot and silently buried in a quiet spot in the desert?

Then again it's only a rumor anyway, we'll see what the release brings.

WombatDK - If MSN supported all those protocols they would STILL have the annoying banner ads.
