I see the world in a new hue,
A beauty I thought only others knew.
For once, I feel alive,
For once, I can thrive.
So long brooding in the dark,
Keeping pain locked away.
Now I sing the song of a lark,
Pleasant and resounding with joy.
For once,
My pain is gone.
For once,
I am not alone.
The elation lifts me on high,
And now I wonder,
How did I get by,
In the life that I did blunder?
Someone now sees me,
In a way I never knew.
Now filled with the greatest of glee,
And the least I can say is...thank you.
