There was this rumor going around at work that the price of oil would sky-rocket. Plus, there was some other rumor gas stations shutting down at midnight tonight. One of my employees said they heard it on the news last night, but I watched the news and I don't remember hearing, or I might have stepped out of the room while they mentioned it, but nevertheless, it just seemed a little uncanny.
When I got off work, I noticed that the gas stations were packed and drivers were rushing to get to the pumps. Hell, some stations had completely run out of gas, which really got me to thinking; Was the rumor true? So when I filled my tank, I rushed home to see if I could find any information on the subject. I checked CNN and noticed that there was an article which said, "It may be short-lived, but consumers got some promising news Wednesday as oil prices dropped nearly $3 a barrel Wednesday afternoon." So has anyone else heard this rumor? Are people going crazy buying gas in your neck of the woods? Could this be the end of civilization as we know it? Eh, who knows.....
