We went on a trip round the island last Sunday. It's only about 140 kms to round the island. But it's a dirt road, and sometimes it gets really bumpy.
Anyway, we took off at around 9.30 in the morning and we stopped at 12.30. Keep in mind that being the party animal that i am, I went out on Friday night and slept at around 5 in the morning. Woke up again at 10.30, went to the haridresser, had a tiny lunch, went to the beach with friends, met up at 6.00pm with Delizia and some other friends to celebrate a birthday and got on the piss AGAIN. This weekend wasnt your usual Bourbon and Coke + Beer weekend. Nope it was Vodka Absolut, Vodka Absolut Raspberry flavour, Smirnoff vodka red label, Jack Daniels (mmmm), Beer and Champagne. And i surprised myself cuz i wasnt sick once (not that i normally get sick but considering the amount of alcohol swallowed and the different kinds it's quite surprising...)!!!! Just very red and very tired and quite tipsy...heehee
Anyway, you imagine my state on Sunday morning at 9.30. I had a massive headache but it went away after the beer i brought to get rid of my hang over on the way
We had an awesome time. We got to this natural pool. And they did it up nice with a rope to swing (Tarzan-like) and to jump to the water. The thing is, the last time I did some real sports was at least 10 months ago, when squash was still cheap.
So the strecthing from swinging from the rope and the climbing back to the tree where the rope was attached to, to swing again was a bit too much for my poor sleepy muscles. I was fine back on Sunday. I thought i was goooooood (and i did show off a bit cuz i was the only girl brave enough to swing from the rope from the highest point without being scared, hehe).
But Monday and today i feel like this is what agony feels like when you get ran over by a goddamn train. Every time i sneeze or cough, every time i stand or sit down, every time i try to reach for something or actually grab it i feel like i got beat up by Buffy the Vampire Slayer....
I've taken pain killers but it just feels as bad. A hot shower was great last night. I would've taken a bath but i was too scared i wouldnt be able to stand up again...
Ouch, sore muscles suck... That's the price for showing off when you're not in shape.
