Windows startmenu bar problem

when i maximize windows when desktopx is off it covers the startmenu bar.

After i installed desktopx and loaded a theme. Then wanted original windows back and unloaded the theme and turned dekstopx off. When i went to maximize windows they would cover the taskbar. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? I have already uninstalled desktopX but it doesn't solve the problem.

Try setting the taskbar to autohide, restart, then unsetting autohide. This will make windows reload the position and size of the taskbar. Try that and get back to me!

if it's not auto hide, make sure taskbar is set to be on top of window

Right click on taskbar, select properties, check needed selections takes about 15 seconds, pretty sure doing a system restore took longer than that. Right click properties from taskbar has Start menu and Taskbar settings all in one place.

I'm sure our methods were fine aswell, but the point is that he fixed his problem. Well done bioflare!
But ya know, sometimes System Restore isn't a good idea, like if you had a virus that you got rid of then you system restored (I've done that, but what made it worse for me was the fact Norton had just expired!!! )
