Ode to my little dead blog

haiku style

I kill you without
words or meaning; with boredom—
it's just, my friends left.

It took me 10 months
to make friends at JoeUser.
You think it's easy?

Ok, historyis-
here, not all my friends are gone—
I'm glad to see you!

(Without any of my "favorite blog" links, I've forgotten who's around and who's gone.)

Thanks for the compliment, thatoneguy, though I'll assume you weren't referring to my steller haiku, eh? No, the whole "friends" thing is something I'm really slow at. But usually when I make them, I make them for life. The internet friendship thing is something I still haven't figured out.

Cheers.

How do you know?

'Lived here all your life?'
The tourist asked the local.
'No', he mused, "Not yet'.

Ah yes, thank you for splitting those semantic hairs. But you see, I can only guarantee the life I've lived thus far. Now be a good canary and go poop on someone else's newspaper.

(Ok, I really don't mean to sound that mean, but it struck me as funny. You can see, then, why it might take awhile for me to make friends, no? My horrid sense of humor, my inability to withhold sarcasm—my personality conspires against me.)

I think some of your friends just got distracted by other things--like life. But we'll come back--hopefully!

If I count (as one of those friend-like things) I am peeking in. Good to see you A.
