Time for me to bid you adieu

off to the OR i go

He's home, JU.  I've been anticipating and dreading this for weeks.

Anticipating because I love him and need him.

Dreading because his return signals the start of a long and painful process for me.

Friday morning at 0600 I'll report to St Elizabeth's hospital and I'll let the surgeons do their best to fix what I broke.

I'm scared.  I think that anyone in my shoes would be scared.  I don't like pain, and I'm going to be in pain for an extended period of time.  However...it's 3 months of fairly intense pain versus a whole lifetime of pain if I don't go get this done.

So, JU, it's time for me to bid you a temporary farewell.  The next few days are going to be hectic to say the least, and I want to spend as much time as I can with my family.  I'll be here sporadically, but I won't be writing any more articles. The next time you see an article on Life As An Air Force Wife, it will have been written by my husband, telling y'all that I came through the surgery okay.  After that....I dont know when I'll be back again.

Be good, y'all.  No fighting, and no flaming - not until I can be here to see it!
