Enough is Enough!
In my own opinion

The following was my response to zienobia’s blog, Link:
“Your views are interesting because it enlightens me a little to an innocent's way of thinking. Given that we in the western world don't speak or read the language (at least some do speak the language) and we don't get the reports immediately the way you guys do where you are (and it's always amazing to me how quickly your news medium get their information), we wouldn't know that the wording is wrong or that there are spelling errors or that this is not the way a muslim speaks.
We don't see spelling errors or read wrong usage of your language, we hear and feel and see anguish, death, terror, anger. We wonder why if there are so many innocent muslims out there, why can't you all band together and demand of your government and leaders for them to put an end to those extremists in your country? Why not demand this terror and extremism stopped because it is so bad for you who are innocent and who continue to say "Islam is innocent for those acts ,those are not muslims"?”
I’ve been reading and responding to many blogs regarding the attacks in London today. I realize that sometimes my response may have been pretty heated, but it makes me so mad just to think of another set of innocent lives lost because of these extremists.
It’s bad enough that our soldiers are in Iraq, Afghanistan and anywhere in the world where they have to be to protect our lives and way of being because these people with their extreme views and warped way of thinking believe that this world is there’s alone and anyone who doesn’t agree with them or share their religion is damned! And so they take extreme measures against innocent people to try to prove that they are better than all of us.
It’s bad enough that I’m here thinking about a hurricane and what’s going on in my birth country Jamaica right now, hoping that my family and friends come through this one unscathed, while also wondering if we here in Florida are going to have to take cover too.
I go out for my morning workout and come back to the news of terror attacks and see pictures of body bags being carried by police in London; of a bus turned upside down because of a bomb; of people bloody and in shock……once more reliving the terror I witnessed and felt in New York almost four years ago.
The pictures are still so vivid in my mind.
Fear is an ugly thing, terror is an ugly act. These extremists are doing just that, putting fear and terror into our lives. They want us to see things their way, to live their way and be just like them. And because we don’t they take extreme measures trying to make us cower in fear.
They may take innocent lives; they may make us feel afraid because we don’t know when they’re going to strike; they will travel anywhere they want because they’re still allowed to do so, even with the precautions that are taken by every country; (and I do wish, like other bloggers have suggested, that they would not be allowed to do so anymore – damn human rights, their acts are not humane; and I’m sorry that there are innocents out there in their world but it’s time these innocents stand up together to stamp out these extremists!) but they will never, ever take away our freedom!
We won’t hide; we won’t change our lives because of them. To protect the rights and freedom of my children I would rather die fighting to put an end to them.
Enough is enough!
