The Golden Palace Casino has sunk to a new low.

The buyers of the Virgin Mary grilled cheese sandwich have paid a single mom $10,000 to have their URL tattoed on her forehead.

Permanently tattooed.  On her forehead.  For $10,000. 

She said that $10 grand is "like a million" to her because she has no money.  She said that she's doing it to secure her son's education.

I wonder if anyone has told her that a college education costs a damn sight more than that....that you can't even buy a new car for that much.

I'm not sure who should be more ashamed of themselves here....the casino for letting her do something so stupid for a comparitively small amount of money, or the woman for...well, for being so stupid.  Then we have the tattoo parlour folks who actually did the inking.  They did try to talk her out of it, apparently, but after 7 hours realized that she wasn't going to change her mind ($10,000 can make a person very stubborn, obviously) so they went ahead and did it.

I guess desperation can make a person do some really silly things....

As someone who has seen 10k come and go like water, I think this woman will realize just how much she is giving and how very little she is getting.

If I wasn't gonna be set for life, there's no way I'd do anything that marked me for life. I mean, damn, you make more than that working at McDonald's in a single year...

Exactly!  If we were talking millions, then I'd be less dismayed.  But $10k?  Please.

Assuming that she could live for another 55 years (or 20,000 days) that works out at about 50 cents a day. I think MacDonalds pays much better than that.

Actually, you probably can still get a decent college education for 10k. Either a community college, or your state college (which generally has tuition rates MUCH lower for residents of the state).

Obviously, though, this woman did not get a college education herself or she would have had some idea of just how stupid this agreement was for her.
