Blizzard has officially announced that a World of Warcraft add-on is in the works, via the World of Warcraft forums. The post came from Blizzard Lead Producer of the World of Warcraft Development Team, Shane Dabiri, as he outlined all the changes and updates that have come in the game's first six months. Dabiri also looked to the future, explaining more about upcoming content, including Blackwing Lair, Zul’Gurub, and much needed development to the Silithus area.
"Some have asked about an expansion and what it might hold. I wanted to let players know that it is in the works, and we’ll release details as soon as we can."
