THQ has acquired the worldwide publishing rights to Gas Powered Games upcoming RTS, Supreme Commander. Yesterday's announcement also explains that the companies "will work together on the Windows PC Real-Time Strategy." Heading the development is Chris Taylor, a man who kicked off the RTS genre and hopes to revolutionize it with Supreme Commander. Unfortunately, that is all the details for now but more information is promised this summer.
"Our goal with this franchise is to take the RTS experience into the future," Taylor added. "Supreme Commander will deliver an exciting, accessible gaming experience on a huge scope and scale that will allow players to wield unprecedented control over the entire theater of war."
