New build issues

I have played a couple of games with beta II, here's what I have found a problem with:

1. The plot trqace in the minimap doesn't update unless you either; a) cross your own territory or b) come to a location that you haven't been to before. Then it updates on the minimap. And even when you changes course, the minimap doesn't change until those criteria are met.
2. Research is screwed up. In beta 1, you could see research progress and research new things. In a game about an hour long I only 'discovered' 1 thing. It hung up at 14 weeks left and wouldn't change. Time reset if I changed subjects, but wouldn't advance beynod 14 weeks left to go. No change if I re-allocated more money. Build times for ships and buildings would change with money changes.
3. The terran constructor in the shipyard list is just terran 10 (I think, the font is really bad on my pc, like a bad ocr). When you highlight the ship is does say it is a constructor. It seems to build starbases, but you can't upgade a base with more constructors.
4. The turn button still disappears. Clicking on the minimap will bring it back, though. This really needs to be fixed by gold time (Feb????).
5. On the minmap, you can drag the box around to view different parts of the big map. but it consistantly loses it 'grip', for want of a better word. When you drag the box around it will stop moving the big map view. You have to go back and 'grab' it again and drag, but it will slip again. This is just on the minmap. The scroll on the big map is so slow as to be irritating to use, that's why draging on the minimap needs to be addressed. One or both need to be addressed.
6. On the colony management screen, the next/previous buttons don't work anmore. I think they worked in beta 1.
7. The boundries on the big map can get a little weird, little bowties show up in odd corners for areas controled. I feel that if 2 areas abutt, they should touch at all points, not have a straight line for one race and a smooth cruve for the other.

Now the carrots:
1. Like the diplomatic screen, even if you can't do anything, yet.
2. The zoom on the big map is neat, even if I can't think of a good use for it.
3. I still like the vocals, you need more.

I know, the like list is short. I haven't gotten out of critique mode enough, yet.
