Question about using "Change Skin Colour"

I've been playing around with the "Change Skin Colour" feature in WB and wondered why after I choose a basic color in the color palette, if I move the slider either up or down to change the "hue", "depth" or whatever is the right term, the color always reverts to the solid color first chosen? Is there a way to make the color chosen with the slider stick?

THANKS!

The Hue is the color, if select a color from palette do not move hue, just saturation and luminence. Using this method you may need to select force color.

Thanks..... I played around with "saturation" and "luminence" and with most skins they were not functional even if I used the "Force the skin to have the colour . . .". However, I played around further and found that by clicking "Use HSL based colouring", that worked fine. WindowBlinds has some great features, but I must say that the program suffers from the lack of having an adequate Help resource. This is one area I believe Stardock needs to improve upon to make all their programs top quality.
