Why Google will beat all comers in the webhosting war!

Maybe Google will become the next Microsoft!

When rumours surfaced that Google tries to build a browser, someone at the New York Times did their homework and did a whois on gbrowser.com - and lo, and behold, it was registered by Google.

One day you'll be looking at your 'Gpod' uploading through 'gtooth' to 'gbrowser' sitting at your 'gapple' and eventually the US Government will own the lot (more profitable than oil- none left!) and - the letter 'G' will be removed from the English alphabet - trademarked.
One would assume that a Google hosted site would get automatic listing in Google's index.
Ok, that is no big deal, but what if they offered their customers Google placement optimizing or free adds or something along those lines? That would be synergy most web developers would not want to miss.

Hosting is ultimately about service. And we all know how famous Google are for their excellent customer service.

Good luck to Google in everything their doing,The whole Google Guessing Game (the GGG to combat the WWW)

All a bit far fetched? But is it really??
Does google have what it takes to take on the giants (aol, yahoo)????
well...we all know Yahoo is powered by human's. it's a matter of time before google takes on a "human interface" ...or will it????

I never thought about Google hosting websites. That would make perfect sense. In a way, they would do what a lot of host companies do (including Yahoo) by providing most services that a web designer or owner would need from starter kits to advertising to shopping cart and certified payment services.

Plus, blogging would also be easier too... interesting...

It just struck me that google does web hosting - its called blogger
It would be interesting to discover how much incremental business the blogger site has put google's way .
It's scary to think that their revenue fingers grip new business with no need to increase staff (for example they own and operate google.co.nz) yet they have no staff here in N.Z..
Their revenue is customer driven (you determine where you place your adsence ad's) so therefore it follows that they may in the future take on yahoo (hosting etc) and micro$oft (OS) and after learning from the afore mentioned companies mistakes I am sure they would give them a hurry up (perhaps even stimulate better tech) after all Google has experience in open source and large arrays of computers .

I remember someone saying a while ago "google won't do E-mail unless they make it revolutionary, and there isn't much to revolutionize about E-mail". And now there's Gmail.
Look at the slice of joeuser they have (traffic in/out referrals etc) 780,924,709 today and counting and the amazing thing about google which I think is the single most significant aspect about them considering they are only the new kids on the block is the Fact that "we trust them"
Google is the default search in my IE and OPERA and WINDOWS (no more search assistant) and I use google every day without any thought whatsoever.
Trust is what google has to offer, and they sell it well without even trying it seems.
That aside, I could see them putting one of their own banner ads up everyone time someone searches for hosting.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Web space users are benefitting from competition among web space providers and are receiving more web space for less money than ever before. But will this trend continue? How far can web hosts go without raising prices or dropping from the competition? Only time will tell the answer to this question.
And of course they are up to two G's now will google be there to pickup all the failed ISP's and take over where the free hosts left off the difference being that the .GGG will turn a profit and so will you as long as you are connected
G.G.com

and for a completely sarcastic veiwwww.halfhosts.com
