The shocking GameStop - Electronics Boutique merger has received the green light to proceed. Combined the companies should represent about 20-30 percent of the market for video games, making them by far the largest specialty store and a hefty competitor to mega-store Wal-Mart. The transaction now has to be approved by the companies' shareholders and is expected to close in the third quarter.
