XP and XP SP1

I`ve been making a wb skin for the last few weeks. My 1st wb skin. It is almost finished. I just brought it home for fine tunning but oh surprise! I have XP at work, where I made the skin. This evening, when I brought it home, where I have XP SP1, it behaved in a completely different way!
1) I am using magic pink to give some free form to the left and bottom window borders. No prob with XP, but in XP1, the window shadows correspond to a perfect square window, magic pink works just fine, the shape is completely transparent in those areas, but the shadows project them as if there was something there, giving a very uggly aspect.
2)I altered the start panel's bottom bar image height in the XP Taskbar section, made it taller. No prob in XP, but in XP SP1, only the upper part of the bar appears.
3)In a similar way to (2), I altered the window bottom frame, made it taller, no prob in XP, in XP SP1, only the upper part of the status bar is shown.
Another difference between both computers is that I have no video card at work, where I first started the skin and at home I have a GForce.
Can anyone help? Now I don`t feel confident to post the skin!
