Racism - A modern view

Why all the confusion?

Why do different people have different ideas about the nature of racism?
"The word "racism" was coined in the 1930's to describe the claim that "race" determines culture.
Since WW2, biological and social science has refuted the notion of racial hierarchy with its attendant claims of superiority. At the same time, the idea that "races" are pure and distinct entities with all their members essentially looking alike and thinking alike was also refuted. Once established, this re-evaluation led to Stage 2, when "race" was still thought by many scientists to be a justifiable concept, but with the proviso that "all 'races' are essentially equal". Liberal activists and some social scientists thus saw racism as the denial of equality of opportunity, or the enjoyment of services or the provision of personal needs. Denial being any form of racial oppression, exploitation, discrimination, subordination or inferiorisation."

Everyone belongs to the human race, we are all pink underneath right ? Ok the outer package is a little different but we all have the same basic make-up. Why is it that christians hate the jews? Why in this modern world do we tend to look at colour of your skin and make sterotypical judgements on people? Racisim is hard wired into us I recon but most of us know how to keep it to ourselves.Link

Yo little_whip, a little sharp on the old tongue for an old friend who has just come back to blogging again. You see Israel have always been the beloved prince of God. The children of the light love Israel, and the darkness that means everyone else is either apathetic, does not care. Or will happily stand by and watch Israel being attatcked time and again....it is a strange and evil world my dear whip. Piers38, I would not put too much confidence in the term 'christian' ~ by todays standards with the New Age and Ecumenical Movement, everyone is supposed to be a 'christ' ~ in a sense the old babylonian kingdom is yet to sink further into degredation as it brings in the 666 ~ the cockatrice..just a thought....

The term 'racism' itself might have been coined in the 1930's but its evilness has been around much longer than that. Here is another link that describes 'modern racism' Link
but traces of racism can be seen even in the Old Testement if you read it closely. Reference to Gentiles by the Jews there is not often very complimentary.
Regardless, today we are more open minded than generations past, there is more interaction between the different races today, perhaps our generation will witness an end to this once and for all...and make at least one dream come true.

SICK racism will always be there as long as we refusee to set non-white population targets. USA and Europe should be 88% non-white by 2020. If countryies do not meet the targets they GET BOMBED for being hateful.

Perhaps my choice of example was a tad inflammatory.
The link that I supplied refers to a site where this guy goes on about how Linkthe new testament is a racist document against Jew's and making a link between Nazism and the bible, illustrating how you can get the bible to say anything you want if you present it the right way (in my view.)
based on your bigoted assertion that "Christians hate Jew's.

OK so it was a really bad example to use perhaps a better example would have been how generally Americans hate Arabs?
This assertion is based entirely on mainstream media from the US viewed on New Zealand television,if one was ignorant enough to believe things seen, heard or read in the media today one would perceive the US as persecutors of freedom under the banner of "the war on terror".
But I don't believe that US citizens hate Arabs even if their government and media are doing their best to ensure that their population remain in a constant state of fear.
Fear is the perfect state to keep people blinded whilst they strip away their rights.
again it's probably yet another bad example however its all part of the game A.
What I am asserting is that even in this modern "politically correct" world,The "racist" factors that influence the ignorant have been and are present regardless of our personal views.

whoever thinks that Christians hate Jews is very wrong. In recent years, most of the tourists to Israel have been Christians. If it wasn't for them we would be pretty bad off economically...not to mention the aid we get from the United States.
Also, never forget the role played by many Christians during the war, saving thousands of Jews at a risk to their own lives, the late Pope among them.

Yo Piers38,
You might find this 18.1 mb powerpoint by Dr. Robert C. Newman, quite enllightening. Loving Israel is something that happens when the Spirit of the God who chose them lives inside you. Paul is very clear that we Gentiles should remember that we are only grafted in because of the fact that there has been a blinding on the part of Israel, so we aught not to think it was done because of who we are.
Check the link, anyhow, there is quite a substantial body of work on ibri.org

Manopeace, when you say 'christian' ~ a rather loose term, which includes anyone who was born in the Christian Religion, right? Or do you have a more biblical term. Remember according to the bible, a christian is one who worships your Messiah, and who claim that your God is their God too. Sort of like Ruth and Noami. I think that the general reference to the term christian, is closer to the New World Order, we are all 'Christ's' ... It is naieve to believe that Moslem and Jew will sit and eat at the same table. Moslem's claim Abraham as their father, and so do the Jews, however the real christian does not claim Abraham as their father, but the Messiah. There needs to be a very definite line drawn between those who worship God in spirit and in truth, and those who are religious christians. Half the problem I find with people these days is they cannot see that. A little survey of the millions of Jews acknowledging Jesus as their Messiah should certainly add a different flavour to this thread. I am not convinced that this world is going to dish out little welcome placards as the OWG sets it's flags....there will be those who want no part in a phony World Peace. When this happens Jesus prophecied, sudden distruction will come. The Unification of Nations is a joke, and is in the simplist form a 'lie.'

Moslem an Jew eat in my home every day!
Nothing naive about reality and peace

a christian is one who worships your Messiah,

pretty difficult to worship my Messiah seeing as He hasn't come yet....
