really new to all this

I'm new to all this "zip" file stuff. I figured out how to download and open wallpaper. That was easy. What about screensavers, logons, icons... etc I know how to download them, but how do I apply them?
I'd appreciate the help!

you need each individual program for each: WindowBlinds, Logonstudio, etc.
There's a link to each site to get the program in each Gallery Description.
If everything is coming in as a .zip when downloaded see: Link

You will have to install the appropriate programs in order to apply icons/logons etc. If you look at the page where you downloaded the logons/icons etc. from you see box called "Gallery description". At the end of this box are several grey links one of which is something like 'Iconpackager website' or 'Logons Website'.

Follow these links (click on them) to get to the web-page where you can download the appropriate program. Download the program (there are many free programs, others are trial-versions) and install it. Then reboot your computer and all you need to do then is to double-click on the downloaded files to install them.

Screen-saver won't need a special program to run. Just copy the *.scr -file into your c:windows\system32 directory. If the downloaded files is an *.exe -file just double click on it to install. You might have to unzip the downloaded files first before you see whether they are a *.scr or *.exe -file).

To see your file-extensions in WindowsXP open Windows Explorer > Tools > Folder Options > View > and untick "Hide extensions for known file types".

For more information about how to handle zip files and what to do if double clicking on the files won't install them (after the appropriate program was installed and the computer rebooted) see the following thread: https://www.wincustomize.com/Forums.aspx?ForumID=19&AID=65866

Angeloffire..if its possible for you..its much easier to buy " Object Desktop" It includes all the programs and its well worth the $49.95
To buy the programs separately they cost much more The important programs are only free trials for 30 days. With Object Desktop also get additional proggies like skin studio and Icon developer that allows you to recolor blinds icons etc. You don't get that with free versions. If your unsure...just get free trial..but keep in mind when you want to purchase ..2 programs almost equel the price of Object Desktop from Stardock. You wont be disappointed ...even I was able to learn how to use these programs..and my computer knowledge is limited.
