Hey Karma and Brad, I am now initiating a campaign to get Danny Bassette at least an honorary moderator status.

A couple of months ago, I had a question, just a curious one.  And while Karma answered it, it was not before Danny Nailed it!

Switch to the present.  Moderateman had some questions, and the man of the Hour?  Danny again!  I horned in on the article with another question of my own (more serious this time), and the man of the Hour?  Danny!

You got a gem in Danny!  Make him a Moderator and pay him (unless they are unpaid).  Where do I send my contribution to the Make Danny Mod campaign?

Seriously, eveyone, I just wanted to Give Danny his due and let everyone know that he has 2 devoted fans that really thank him for his help!  Moderateman and me!

I'm flattered, really, but I'm just trying to help. I don't need to be paid, although it might be fun to be a mod (then the power can go to my head and I can do all sorts of evilness ). I was actually thinking about this earlier. Getting paid changes the dynamics of things, not always for the best. While I do enjoy helping people, if I was paid for it it might change to more of an obligation and less of a fun thing to do. Or not, I have been told to stay out of my head so what do I know

no edit button: Try refreshing the page and/or logging off and then back on. Might not bring it back, but usually does. Sometimes the servers get confused as to if you're really logged in or not. You can post as you and such, but certain things (buttons/options) don't show up. Sometimes happens with the 'My Account' options too. (note, server getting confused is not a technical term, I'm sure one of the admin types could give you a more technical answer/reason)

I'll second the nomination for Danny to get Mod status!! I've never asked a question in an article, but Danny has helped me more than just a few times with questions I've had. Some of them took a lot of time in IMs.

Since there is no pay involved, I can't see why anyone would volunteer for this thankless job unless to satisfy some weird ego/power trip, kinda like free rent-a-cops.

Or perhaps the pay is not in cold hard cash, but recognition of a valuable contributor that requires no remuneration, just some atta boys now and then.  If that is going to kill this thread, so be it.  But I wanted to thank him for his assistance on several occassions.  I know Karma and Brad are busy people, and it sure was nice to have someone familiar with the workings to lend a hand when some of us had questions.
