Living in Minnesota is getting nicer by the day!

This April the midwest has been swept with some VERY nice weather, with unseasonable warmth.

Today as I drove home from work at 8pm it was still 70 degrees (F)! YAY. I love the warm weather and it makes me really happy that I get to enjoy the spring.

I am trying to enjoy it now, before it gets to hot, those 80 and 90 degree days are just around the corner!

Hey! I'm from Minnesota, and I remember those few and far between awesome spring days. When I was a Freshman in Duluth, we had an 80 degree day in March. Girls were wearing bikinis, us guys were playing football with no shirts on...gorgeous. The next week, however, we got about a foot of snow and the temps dropped below zero again.
I'm now Peace Corps Volunteer serving in the Republic of Kiribati, in the central pacific. Basically, it's where the equator and Int'l Date Line meet. Every day, it's upwards of 95 degrees here in the shade, unless it rains and gets "cold". When it hits about 85, I reach for my blanket. I know, unusual behavior from a born and raised Northern Minnesota boy. How far we have come.

This is the break time without bugs, heat, cold, garden chores, or lawn mowing.

I will have to get my air conditioners installed before long.

Oh lordy...how I miss it. Spring in Nevada is just NOT the same as spring in Minnesota...
