Alien race portraits corrupted in AP

In AP, on some of the screens that show a portrait of the alien races, such as the race selection screen to start a game, and the United Planets screen, some of the portrait pictures are corrupted. I am at work right now, otherwise I would include a screenshot. Has anyone else seen this? I had GC completely up to date, then downloaded AP from SDC.

Also, is there a way to force SDC to install AP to a directory I specify, rather than having it automatically installed to C:\Program Files without asking?

In the page where you enter your serial number, there's a place to specify the directory where you install it.

Can you please send a screenshot to [email protected] when you get home?

It sounds like you may be having trouble with the bink files. Do they look normal if you play them outside of the game? You may have to download the bink player, which may also clear up your problem. :)

Thanks for the reply CariElf! I reinstalled AP to the directory I wanted and now the graphics look right. Go figure...
