I'm so glad she said that...

Tell her Auntie Jill says "You go girl!"   I am totally disgusted by the stuff I see kids wearing.  We used to wear tight things but still everything was at least covered! 

I really feel badly for a neighbor girl who I can relate too totally.  She is only 9yrs old but she is about 5' and already wears a woman's size 8 shoe.  Trying to find clothes in her size that are appropriate for a 9yr old is pretty close to impossible since they aren't appropriate for anyone at any age.  My mom used to tailor or make clothes for me.  You don't end up looking particularly "normal" that way though.

I really feel for girls who just want to look nice not like the skanks that the fashions seem to be targeting.

I hope not. I have a feeling that she's going to be more of a hippie chickie than a T&A girl....and like I said, she's not easily influenced.  She said something last night about preferring to have a few friends who she knew were friends  than try to be something she's not to get attention. She's a kick ass kid, and I'm proud of her..

I did, and she said thanks!  Im disgusted too....I see little girls (and by that I mean 13 and 14 year olds) buying skirts so short that you can see their unerwear when they walk.  I used to wear some short skirts when I was that age, and you might have been able to see my kinickers if i bent over without thinking..but this is way worse.  I sometimes woner why they even bother wearing these skirts; they dont serve much purpose.

I have often wondered about the same thing myself!!

That's truly disgusting.  In an age where pedophilia is rampant (and that's not an exaggeration, read your newspaper or watch TV sometime; it's everywhere) people should really know better than to manufacture or purchase things like that.  I can take a joke, but that's not funny. 

As for NAMBLA....I'm not very often angered to the point of wanting or wishing to do violence,but....those fuckers bring me to that point.

I don't know about the parenting.  I dont think of myself as a great parent in the traditional sense.  We don't all eat dinner together every night of the week, we don't do traditional family things...we're just not a traditional family, I guess.

But yes, I think that Shea has her head on straight.  She has a plan for her life....she wants to be a veterinarian, and has figured out what she needs to do to make that happen.  She wants to join the military and be a vet tech, then continue college until she qualifies.

Hehe....I'll see how that goes over!
