Ubisoft has finally announced what is to be the first new game in the Might & Magic series since 2002, Heroes of Might and Magic V. Ubisoft purchased the series as part of 3DO's bankruptcy auction and looks to push the series in a new direction by 2006. Few details are known about the game but we do know that it will stick to its roots as a turn-based strategy game with a hint of RPG.
Developed by Nival Interactive (Blitzkrieg, Silent Storm, Etherlords), Heroes of Might and Magic V will be brought up to date with "a highly immersive scenario, a variety of appealing factions, modern 3D graphics, a revolutionary tactical combat system and a story-based campaign mode."
