As Vasueden lands and begins to unload his delivery of good, a Vellos looks at him, smiles, then walks away. Feeling strange about this Eerie encounter, Vasueden enters the Spaceport bar to have himself a drink. (Tips the bartender, "I hear the price of equiptment is very high on Viking" he says) As Vasueden sips his drink, the same Vellos from the docking platform approaches him. "Greetings I am Gre'han of the Vellos" " I am a researcher on telepaths and the mentally gifted" "Are you willing to do a mission for me?" "No way" Vasueden tells him. " A huge smile comes across the Vellos' face. "I hear the Auroran Empire holds many opportunities for an adventurous man such as yourself" "You must flee to Aurora at once as the Federal Government will try to hunt you down soon" Vasueden looks down the hall and see's Federal StormTroopers marching quickly in his direction. "Run, hurry!" The vellos yells, and pushes Vasueden off his seat. Vasueden runs outside and onto the docking platform, where he enters his ship and blasts off while under fire from Federal Turrents! As he leaves Earths orbit there are three Federal Destroyers and a squadron of Fed fighters on a direct intercept course! Vasueden jumps his ship, Kilraa's liberty, into hyperspace and heads towards Auroran Territory. He fast jumps his way as deep into Auroran territory as he can, then he runs out of fuel. As Vasueden closes in on the system planet, the Federal Fleet arrives! But just as Vasueden is about to hit the eject button, a large fleet of Auroran Cruisers lays down some monster fire on the Feds, who are literally blown away. Vasueden is safe for now, oR Is He.............

Vasueden walks into the Auroran SpacePort bar. All of the Sudden he feels a tremendous wieght crashing down on his shoulders and he passes out from the pain. He wakes up in a hospital and is told by the attractive nurses that he had been attacked by a drop bear. He yells to them that he had previously purchased the drop bear repellant. The Nurses laugh at him and walk off with a large sum of his credits. He then goes to the Spaceport bar again to find out what happened. But what he finds instead is a woman with Auburn hair, "Hello, my anme is Mu'Randa." She pleseantly states. So, what could happen next? A monster, galactic salvation, sobatoge, an enima? Who knows.............

NOD, please explain your reason for posting this in this forum. Escape Velocity is an interesting game, but does its story belong in a Galactic Civilizations game forum?
