ROFL... Is there anyway to downgrade versions??

I had a game that i was close to winning (me and the big bad yor left). I have aprox 50 star systems, they have 8. I upgraded from 1.9 to 1.2 (or was it 1.2 to 1.2b or whatever??). Anyways, the system enhancements are totally fubared, and my huge manufacturing planet (orig planet quality 49) lost every useful improvement, and instead had them replaced with things like star system defense, and its planet quality is reduced by about 10.

Same for every other planet i have, and the moral is 0 at every planet i have. This wouldnt be a huge problem if there was a mass destroy button (to get rid of all the useless crap), but i dont want to manually go through and remove over 500 buildings, then wait an hour while my planets rebuild there stuff. The yor also seem to be suffering from this bug....

Anywho, how to reset version to 1.9 until this game is over??

What's causing your problem is the addition of two new buildings... as near as I can tell, this screws up the ordering of whatever temporary table the game is using to track which improvements you have built and/or available.

Assuming you didn't re-save the game (you didn't re-save the game, did you?), you might be able to fix it. Try manually editing Achievements.IMP to remove, or comment out, the last two entries, StarbaseSupplyer and SupplyCapital.

I've never tried it, but I have a feeling that doing this and reloading your old game might work. The only thing I can think of that would screw it up is if the game automatically re-saves old saved games in the new format. In that case, you should still be able to recover the auto-save though.

P.S. Let me know if it works. :)

I believe the only way to go to an old version is if you chose to manually archive old versions through Stardock Central. If you didn't you probably can't.

It still might be possible to fix the problem manually though, since the update from 1.19 to 1.20 was pretty minor, and this issue seems to be tied to the new data file, not the code or the save-game format.
