Ok im a newbie (:( and i wanted to know a couple of things such as how to join empires, how to get ranks, and some good play tips for a totle newb. Thanks in advance for the help! :D

I'm not sure what you mean by ranks, if you mean like captain, admiral ect it's based on your metaverse score and how many games you have posted. If you mean citizen, veteren ect. you get promoted by being helpful on the forum, answering questions and such.

You click on the Metaverse tab (on the top of this side), choose "Top Empires" and then click on the Empire you want to join (say European Alliance :p ) and scroll to the bottom of that page. Then click join Empire.

If you want to learn more about each empire, you can go to the Empire forum (on your left). There you will also find a sticky thread with links to websites etc.

Don't be afraid to drop in on any of the threads to say hi.

This is a tough one. One of the thing i have learned is that a good idea might be to start a game, play around with spending slider and understand how income is made (trade and "planet"-income).

When you do have specific problems or encounter situations you have a hard time dealing with please do post question. It is very friendly forum and your question will most likely be answered swiftly.
