Anyone use ... N. Decker's (SysMetrix) ... "Wallpaper XChange?"

This is a great program that I downloaded last night. Link Quickly and easily does everything the literature promotes, except: It has a preview area complete with monitor effects such as inner shadows and a glare These effects look great in the "preview area" but, when I try to apply them by clicking on 'Set Wallpaper', they're not there.

Can anyone tell me how to properly use the shadow/glare effects?

I don't think it's meant to be applied to the desktop, it's just a "preview" effect.

Koasati is right. The preview effect is there to simulate how it will look with the reflections from the light sources in the room.

Thanks Koasati, Yrqal and butch123 for your replies! I obviously mis-read the literature and mis-interpreted the illustrations. I do think though that it's strongly implied that one can turn their desktop wallpaper into what the preview panel shows. Otherwise, why bother displaying what a wallpaper can or might look like with these "special effects" if I can't use those effects to make it look that way? I'm afraid I'm missing, among other things , ... the purpose.

Ah, well ... it's still a very good program and I'm glad to have it.
