Does GalCiv need a 'Frogboy' level?

Many of you probably know that Firaxis added a 'Sid' level above 'diety' level, in releasing Civ3 Conquests. Very few of the 'elite' are able to win real games on this level, but it gives those at the top of their game something new to strive for, instead of just working on perfecting their 'diety' strategy.

So, does GalCiv need a similar 'Frogboy' level?

As long as it doesn't score a ridiculously inflated number of points, the way Maso does now. I don't want to have to play cheatin' crap to make a difference for my empire.

Have to agree on the point scoring. Playing at levels about genius should not score more points, just give the player the respect for scoring those points at such a hard level.

As for a frogboy level, it would make it too much luck based. At the moment the difference between a good and a bad starting position in maso games is huge (but has no effect on score).

Actually I can now pretty much win Masochistic games regardless of where I start.

I don't say this to brag, but to again point out a major flaw in the AI. They are completely unable to detect a culture attack. So as long as I have enough planets to spit out constructors at a decent pace, and can start absorbing other races. If you select your first sectors first (with the most adjacent habitable planets) you can really progress quite quickly.

This of course feels cheesy, but it's a huge flaw in the AI in my opinion. I can beat them every time, because they do nothing to stop my culture attack. In fact, they often love me during the whole time because I'm giving them cash handouts as I'm absorbing their planets.

Frogboy level is a good idea but points could be a problem like they are in the current Masoverse

I think when they'd change the calculation of multiple Culture-Bases to add instead of multiply it would be a whole lot harder to beat Maso!

Actually, if a Frogboy level removed culture attacks completely it would then really become difficult to win!

It's clear that with the Sid level in Civ3 Conquests, luck plays an important role in whether or not a particular game is viable. However, I don't believe there are any real cheats to winning a Sid-level game.
