We need your help!

Stardock are looking to add new medals to the metaverse ranking!

How you can help

We need for you to come up with some new names and graphics for these medals. Please decide on the name for the medal  and a new graphic, and submit it to me along with a 20x20 gif image of the chosen medal. Please keep in mind that these medals will be for the entire metaverse.

Images of the medals and their names will be available for viewing at the following address http://files.galciv.org/medals.html

Once a reasonable amount of submissions have been made, then the team at Stardock will choose the ones to add to the metaverse.

Please spread the word about this to all the members of your empires.

i think the medals have been recalculated as of yesterday. so you need to get back to top 25 first :) Hint Hint :D

Actually I should have a former number 1 as well ;)

But being number one before the game was released is a bit unfair.

Former number 2, 3 and 25 were all fairly earned though over the summer!

PS> Just in case someone doesn't see the humour I don't think rewarding old medals is right unless Stardock run some algorithm on everyones previous saves (renormalise the scores to the same version) and award medals on that basis!

I hear ya. The best I did was number 3 for a while when my metaverse score was between 172407 and 483482. It is unlikely I will ever get close to number 3 again with all the big muscle turning out games so fast. On the other hand, I am thrilled there are new players tearing apart old records and am looking forward to continuing to play for a while although never at the rate I used to play.

For a long time, I was chasing Solitair. Paul, in "metaverse time" we are both ancient but you qualify for "precursor" status. LOL.

It's been over 2 years now since I started playing / alpha testing Galciv. Wow time flies when you have a good game to play!
