Windowblinds not working

Some menus and taskbar dosn't work

I have installed windowblinds. When i download a theme/skin, it comes in a .zip file. So, I take the file and i extract it to the appropriate folder in the windowblinds program files. I apply the theme/skin. It will apply the theme to most windows and some menus. But, the taskbar is just the windows classic taskbar, but colored dark, along with the start menu. But, the logoff and shutdown menus are regular XP style. I don't know why this won't work, i need help!

You didn't mention if its the trail version or the full purchased version of WB.
Also most themes are downloaded with the extension .wba . You can install the skin by choosing "install skin from disk" when in WB config. If it is in a zip, hopefully the .wba file is inside.
It does seem though that either way you got it in the right location and its showing in WB config. However I'm not sure why it isn't skinning totally. Perhaps you need to unload WB, uninstall it and re-install it.

Also need to know what OS you're running. If you're on win 2k it won't skin the start menu and the taskbar because those are just menus, something that can't be skinned. If you're on XP SP2, there's been issues with files downloading as zips instead of the right extension.

Ok, i'm runnin Windows XP Pro SP2. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling WB a couple times. I have the full version of WB. And the .zip file, is just a folder with all the files needed in it, i've checked, but there is no .wba file anywhere.

Like I mentioned, check those links I posted.

Can also check out this link to disable all zips as showing up as compressed folder instead of a winzip file. http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/996/

Which version of WindowBlinds are you using? If your Version is 4.43 or lower and you are using it with an AMD64 CPU then your start menu and your taskbar are not skinned due to clashes with the Data Execution Protection (DEP)used by this processor.

Download the newest version of WB and install > reboot.

I've discovered that SP2 is not allowing me to use window bllinds. I formatted my computer and installed windowblinds and went through all my driver installs and windows updates and everything was fine... but as soon as i installed sp2, window blinds just fell down and threw up all over itself.

is there any way of fixing that?

Shin-Sama: I suppose you are using Firefox? This jumping problem has been around for a while, but I think the developers know of it and work on it. Meanwhile try using the default Theme in Firefox. This seems to lessen the amount the jumping happens.
