The Roman Empire was arguably the greatest empire the world has ever known - due in great part to its professional soldiers.

The toughest, most experienced soldiers were the Centurions - grizzled, battle hardened veterans all.

Thanks for the offer Alexus, but I'm happy in Gammasquad. Very few of the other Gammasquad members are actively playing, and I stopped submitting 2-3 months ago (just wanted the rank of admiral).

You could always change the criteria to 100k points and veteran rank to join and 100 games to be made senator. Would open your empire a bit more. Good luck,

Yesh . . . good luck to you Ale . . I mean Primipilus Alexus. From what I can see there'd be only about four people that might be able to qualify for your empire as is that are still active . . . the 100 club's a good idea but even fewer of us are honored with the title of Vetrinarian . . . I know how to look after Goldfish, does that count? :D

Give it time. Most of the players who are elite enough to join this empire are already affiliated. I bet the Centurions will pick up people in the next Metaverse shakeup, whenever that is.

I hope it works out for Alex too. I just hope that there isn't TOO BIG a shake up on the metaverse again. I don't know if some of us could survive another one like the last time.

I was just letting Alex know that he has another home waiting for him if he wants to take us up on the offer. :)

Alex,

I'm hoping Wombat, Ginata, Killa, Quack, and Ben won't leave, but you're welcome to join the Special Forces.

We'll hopefully have more people who'll meet you criteria in the future... I'd like to hit 100 games and Jaws is close.

We have a high percentage of Admirals - I know you like keeping track of that for everyone.

Alex, you're an asset to any empire, and we'd obviously love to have you over here. The only downside would be the loss of a worthy opponent, and I'm sure we could make up for it by really sticking it to others... :)

Umm, Cypher - I'm not going anywhere! I may have been a little quiet lately, but I'm not giving up my stool in the Special Forces tavern anytime soon!
