Looking at the comming of the Anti-Christ

A differert slant

There have been many stories told of the coming of the anti-Christ.

I would like to discuss the possibility of the anti-Christ being female instead of the traditional male.

Since stories have it said that the anti-Christ will be born of a female jackal using the seed of a truly evil male to impregnate the jackal, and it shall be born with the numbers 666 somewhere on their bodies.

Has anyone stopped to think maybe the anti-Christ will be a female instead of male? The complete opposite of Jesus not only in spirit but sex also?

This in fact would make more sense as a female would be able to hide her true nature much longer than a male.

Also no one would be looking for a female anti-Christ either.

What do you think?

The Bible makes mention of more then just a single "anti-Christ" and in fact says "There will be false Christ’s", as in plural. That is, an individual or orginization claiming to be a follower of Christ, but proving false to his power. This is in fact one way we can identify the anti-Christ, by it's actions. A wolf in sheeps clothing so-to-speak.

I agree, just a wolf in females clothing might ptroove that much deadlier.

So maybe Bobby Boucher's "Mama" was right: "Girls are the Devil!" but then again, everything was "the devil" to her, so maybe the Anti Christ is just everything that comes from Louisiana! lol

What do I think? I think it's been 2000 years for Christ to come back, even though he said that his generation would live to see him return. As for the anti-christ, he's a nice boogey man made up on a book that only got included in the Bible by a few votes back in the day. I'm more scared of the Loch Ness Monster.

Myrrander, where does Jesus say that? (Just curious)

Matthew 16:27-28 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom. (KJV)

Matthew 24:34 (after comparing the believer to a fig tree and the Kingsom of Heaven to Summer) Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

Mark 9:1 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.

Mark 13:30 Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.

Luke 9:27 But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God.

Luke 21:32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.

The Apostle Paul also made several statements along these lines. Hope that clears it up for you!

Cheers.

There's no reason to suspect the antichrist will be a woman. We know from The Book Of Revelations the antichrist will assert control over the planet through political manoevers, and to imagine a woman taking political control of the entire planet is too unbelievable. And I'm not saying it as a sexist, I'm thinking rationally. I'd say about 1/3 of the planet's population have a religion which would never permit themselves to be ruled by a woman. If the Antichrist comes to power he needs the Middle East and Asia under his dominion so to me that would exclude women from their political allegiance. Only a man could get political support from the world entire, from every nation on earth.

I'm not a bible thumper or anything but didn't Jesus return to us when he appeared to Mary Magdalene and then later to his disciples? 3 days is still the same generation. And the boogeyman thing. Although only God Himself knows the true answers to these thoughts, it's a fact that the AntiChrist, if he DOES exist, would orgasm everytime someone like you treats him as a joke not to be taken seriously. The most unaware, of course, are the most desirable for evil. And remember, the prince of darkness comes as a gentleman.

did not india have a woman leader

Indonesia had a female leader - but she wasn't voted in, infact she was voted out - recently.
Indira Gandhi was twice the Prime Minister of India
Benazir Bhutto has twice served the same role in Pakistan, becoming the first woman to head a Muslim state. When Sheik Hasina Wazed took over as prime minister of Bangladesh, she succeeded another woman, Khaleda Zia.

New Zealand and Britain have had female Prime Ministers

Sri Lanka produced the world’s first democratically-elected leader in 1960, when the post was filled by Sirimavo Bandaranaike, mother of current Sri Lankan President Chandrika Kumaratunga. Bandaranaike assumed power after the assassination of her husband. She has served as prime minister three separate times.

Women have taken power in Iceland, Norway, Yugoslavia, Turkey, Ireland, Pakistan, Nicaragua, Panama and Poland. Also Israel, Phillepines, Bangledesh and Argentina.

Really Australia and America are quite backward in never having a woman in leadership (Aus has had female leaders in the opposition party - democrats, one nation etc)

This website has the above quote and other stories about how these women came to be in leadership over their countries.

Oh and if Condi, Hillary or any other woman WAS elected President of the United States. I think there'd be little doubt that she'd infact be the most powerful leader in the world - since George W is now.

Myrrander, thanks for sharing those verses. You’ll notice that they all refer to the Kingdom of God, and you missed the most significant verses of them all, which make sense of them and bind them together in wisdom, (i.e. soul-logic):

"The Kingdom of God does not come visibly. No one will say 'Look, here it is!' or, 'There it is!'; because the Kingdom of God is within you.” (Luke 17.21) … “The Kingdom of Heaven is already at hand” (Matthew 3.2)

The verses which you quoted regarding the fig tree’s leaves blooming, analogise the blossoming of Christ’s Spirit (“the True Vine”) within the hearts of men. When Jesus said, “these things will happen before the people now living have died”, he was implying that His Spirit would take root immanently. And he wasn’t wrong.

“You have been given the secret to the Kingdom of God”, said Jesus. “But others, who are on the outside … may look and look, but not see; they may listen and listen, yet not understand. For if they did, they would turn to God, and He would heal them.” - Mark 4.11.

Here, “others on the outside” refers to those who have opted for a worldly interpretation of life. They look, but do not see. They listen, yet do not understand. They are caught up in worldly priorities, which teach that success in life is achieved through material riches and ego-power, rather than spiritual riches and the power of love. Such folk believe that the Truth can be grasped by the intellect alone, rather than the intellect and the heart combined. They know all about the world, but they know nothing of God.

It’s spiritual truths we’re talking about here Myrrander, rather than worldly affairs which ultimately count for nothing. In the words of St. Paul, “We do not speak in words taught by human wisdom, but in words taught by the Spirit, as we explain spiritual truths to those who have the Spirit. Whoever does not have the Spirit cannot receive the gifts that come from God’s Spirit. Such people really do not understand them, they are nonsense to them, because their value can be judged only on a spiritual basis. . . . We, however, have the mind of Christ.” – 1 Corinthians 2.13-16

Jesus Christ is a Righteous Dude, and His Second Coming, like the Kingdom of God, will arise in a different form than most people assume. Be patient. Christ will come again for sure.

didn't Jesus return to us when he appeared to Mary Magdalene

Then why is the antichrist supposed to appear before the 2nd coming? Does that mean the antichrist came during those 3 days?

And don't forget, it wasn't just "I'll come back" it was that Christ's kingdom would come before the generation died.

And remember, the prince of darkness comes as a gentleman.

Well, my wife has always called me a gentleman...

The interesting thing about those verses is that they spawned the legend of the wandering Jew, who denied Christ and was cursed to wander forever -- therefore, one person from that generation was still around...the people the the Middle Ages and Rennaissance took those verses literally, and later Christians have to. It's only with the progression of scientific thought that the Bible has begun to be taken less than literally.

cheers

But beloved be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slck concerning his promise, as some men count slackness, but is longsuffering to usward not will that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Yeh.... it's me Myrr

Imagine, according to God's time table, its only been a weekend. A week end goes pretty quick and then it's back to work!
