Cooking With Kids

Well, I haven't told anyone on JU, but I guess now is a good a time as ever to tell you all that I am now employed. I've been working about three weeks now at the local branch library as a shelver. It's a great job with really flexible hours, and I love the atmosphere, and all of the other librarians. It seems that I now have an extra three mothers, which is pretty fun.
Today we had Cooking with Kids at the library, and it was a blast! We had about 19 people total, and they made brownie deserts, celery sticks, and PB&J sandwiches and had a great time. Our local Pampered Chef wiz came in and taught the kids about safety and cleanliness in the kitchen. Right now we are having "Family Library Week", so families that come in and do things together like reading and the like can enter their names in a drawing for a family goody basket.
Speaking of kids, I got to be a babysitter for 19 kids along with four other guys from our Youth Group at church for a Valentines Dinner for some of the younger couples at our church, and I'll tell you what, that was a "Scared Straight" ordeal. I'd have to say that that babysitting job has been the most effective birth control I'll ever receive
Wishing you and yours a wonderful Valentine's Day!
(And for all the singles out there, the 15th is Single Appreciation Day, so go out and get yourself some candy and a couple of roses!
)
Peace,
Beebes
